Indianola Hometown Pride is working with a wide variety of partner organizations and community members. We have developed this vision with advice and endorsements from:

We have also conducted a public survey and focus groups to get public input on the project. We continue to welcome input.

Cost and Fundraising

We are currently fundraising for this project and welcome contributions of any amount. We invite potential funding partners to contact us to discuss how they would like to be involved.

- People's Bank: $30,000

- Warren County: $20,000 (toward infrastructure improvements on parking lot)

- Keep Indianola Beautiful: $6,500

- Simpson College: $5,000

- Des Moines Metro Opera: $1,000

- McCoy True Value and Rental: $1,000

We are also applying for grants, including the "Iowa Great Places" grant that Indianola is eligible for as part of its Iowa Great Places designation.

The approximate cost of the sculptures series, storytelling tour, parking lot/event space upgrades, landscaping improvements, light pole art and sidewalk art is $150,000-$170,000.
