FAQ: Is the sponsorship cost equal to the cost of the item I'm sponsoring?​

Our goal is to fundraise to cover the full cost of the "Wonder on Buxton" project, and we have selected the items with the most valuable naming opportunities to use for our sponsorships. However, there are other elements of the project that can not be easily sponsored, and the above sponsorships cover a portion of those costs too.

Therefore, the sponsorship costs include several factors:
the material cost of the sponsored item, the design and artist fees associated with the sponsored item, and the costs of other "Wonder on Buxton" project elements (as described on this website) that don't lend themselves well to providing naming rights (for example, landscaping or web development).

This is a common approach to "sponsorships," as it provides the best value to the sponsor by providing naming rights to the most prominent and visible items.
